So, I have been hired for my first job! I can't believe I got hired! I'll be a banquet server, oh the nerves.
Yesterday (being my first day at work) I figured out I was the youngest of the new hires, and probably the youngest out of all the servers. I'm only 16 and everyone else seems to be 20 years old or older. After work, My friend Oscar gave me the idea to make a comic about my adventures about my first job and being the youngest at work. I thought this was a good idea, it'll give other teens a good idea of what your first job will be like. I've noticed when I went online a few days ago before I got hired, I didn't see any posts about other teens experiences at work. It was all college students and adults. These days companies want older more experienced people to work for them, not silly young teenagers. This makes it hard for us teenagers, I know a lot of teens my age who are very hard workers but yet can't seem to get a job no matter how many they apply too. The only teens that I know that have a job are ones that had connections or very good references.
So what do you think? Is this a good idea? Should I make it a comic, a blog, youtube videos!? Please Comment! I want to know your opinion! Thanks!
